April: The 24-Foot Banner in Brazil

Here’s one of the most incredible stories of the year.

At the 2024 ASI convention, Sérgio Oliveira from Brazil saw our illustration and said, “We want a 24-foot version of this for an evangelistic series next April in Brazil.”

At the time, I had no idea if such a massive print was even possible — the artwork was originally designed for 10 feet! But I said yes and got to work. I tested it by printing a small corner of the image at full scale and realized it could work — if we added more detail.

I test printed a tiny piece of 'The Story of Prophecy' illustration to see how the details hold up at 24ft scale.
At the library, I test-printed a tiny corner of the illustration to see if the details would hold up at 24ft.

So I brought artist Ellen Lee back on to do a detail pass, repainting angels, people, and key scenes like Daniel, the manger, the baptism, and Adam and Eve in both Eden and the new earth.

After months of coordination with Sérgio and Lucas Dressler, the 24-foot (actually ended up being 21ft) banner was printed and displayed at a huge evangelistic series with speakers like Doug Batchelor and Stephen Bohr — attended by over 3,000 people.

During that four-day event, we sold more posters than we had in the previous two and a half years combined. Now, there are 90 Portuguese-language posters spread across homes and churches throughout Brazil — a miracle only God could orchestrate.

Next Week: PART 3

Next week, I'll tell you about our first-ever Rebrand Prophecy church series.
